PROPELLER TESTS

The engine and the propeller are one of the usable propulsion units.

The unsuitable propeller limits the performances and properties of the aircraft significantly. In addition such propeller is the cause of the bigger noise and consumes too much energy from the tank.

To make the propellers more effective, reliable, secure and useable longer in the service, there is a need to know their properties better.

For this purpose serves a special test unit “PROPTEST”. It ascertains – efficiency, thrust under different conditions of the flight, noise, ability to resist vibrations and expected length of life. For two and multiplebladed propellers with diametres from 1 to 1.8 meters.

The test unit consists of : a steel cylinder of 2.5 m diameter and

8.3 m length , a propulsion unit, instruments measuring- velocities, pressures, forces, vibrations and noise and control panel.

Each test results will provide certificates about noise, efficiency and thrust including the test conditions.

This test unit will start its work for those who want to learn more about their own or other , new or old propellers

on December 1, 2001.

The test price depends on the range of the works and varies between 33 000Kč to 65 000Kč. Orders to be sent, please, to the following address. The results will be available within 14 days after the propeller receiving.

PROPELLERS SHOULD NOT ONLY SCATTER THE AIR PARTICLES, BUT THEY SHOULD DRIVE FLYING MACHINES EFFICIENTLY, SAFELY AND QUIETLY
